Opening Times & Information for 2022

The House and grounds will be open for 28 days this year,

from mid April until the end of September on the following dates:

• April - 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th 

• May - 21st, 22nd and 23rd 

• June - 11th and 12th

• July - 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th

• August - 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th

• September - 10th to 19th (for North East Open Studios)

Information for visitors:

We welcome guests for guided tours (£10 per adult, under 12s free) running from

12 noon and on the hour until the last tour at 3pm.

Tickets are available at the door.

Tours will be limited to groups of around 10 people due to space.

If required, we will ask for track and trace details on entry, and that you adhere to

any social distancing/face covering requirements, as well as sanitise hands on arrival and when exiting.

When visiting, you will also be able to explore the garden,

as well as browse the gallery/gift shop which is situated in the front entrance hall (open from 12 noon until 4pm).  

Other important information:  Parking is available on the main drive, with disabled parking spaces at the front of the house.  Disabled access to the house is limited for wheelchair users due to the number of steps and period features of the house.

Sadly, no dogs (except guide dogs) are allowed in the garden or house.
