The house is open for guided tours and tea in the parlour from 1pm to 5pm.

Tours leave at: 1.30pm & 3pm 

Entry prices are: adult £10, child under 12 free

Tea/coffee and a home bake are £5 per person

Payment: cash and card accepted

We welcome up to 10 people per tour, as some rooms are quite small. 

We strongly suggest that you reserve your spot in advance via email, although you can also turn up on the day.

​

If you have a group of 10 or more people you can arrange a private tour and tea by appointment.

The maximum number of people we can accommodate is 30, due to space and the number of volunteers needed.

​

The gallery/gift shop and garden are free of charge for entry.

In September, we host 3 artists for North East Open Studios

The house is open from 11am to 4pm, with a house tour running at 1.30pm each day

December: 4th, 5th & 6th (Friday to Sunday)

In December, we turn the entrance hall, inner hall and parlour into a festive pop-up shop

selling gifts and art supplied by local makers.

We are open 10am to 5pm each day; no tours available.

Other important information:  Parking is available on the main drive, with some disabled parking spaces at the front of the house.  

Disabled access for tours is limited due to the number of steps and period features in the house.

Sadly, no dogs (except guide dogs) are allowed in the garden or house. ​​
