The KH Kitchen


We have found a plethora of lovely old cookbooks in the house, dating back to as early as 1912. While browsing for information on cooking during WW2, for a school project, we discovered some interesting, although not very appetising recipes:

These delightful soups were found in the Aberdeen Cookbook, given to Susan Burnett (my grandmother) in 1944. They're a great example of a 'waste not, want not' ethos we should probably revisit.

Inspired by these beautiful books, as well as very fond memories of delicious savouries and bakes being created in the KH Kitchen, I've decided to revisit some much-loved family recipes...
