This week is going to be a busy one, with Brownies' Teddy Bears Picnic being held in the front garden, as well as Kemnay Primary School's production of Shakespeare Rocks being performed underneath an ancient, but majestic, beech tree which grows next to the house.
The latter of these follows a tradition started back in the early 20th century, when the local school put on yearly Shakespearian plays under the very same tree. Susan Burnett (9th of Kemnay) enjoyed taking part in the performances as a young girl, and they gave her a life long love for the playwright's work. The family still refer to the old beech as 'The Shakespeare Tree'.
